Side Sections at Alpine Valley and the View

Alpine Valley sections
Did you ever buy your Alpine Valley concert tickets, and then look at the seating chart? Do wonder about those side sections right in front of the stage? I did. What is the view like from those sections? Can you see anything at all, or is that tall stage in the way?

They are numbered section 101 and 103. They seem so far off to the right and left, that I would think that you want to be close to the aisle, next to section 102. You might want to avoid the first two rows in that section as well. I think that you are just too close to the stage, if you can believe that.

When you get to Alpine Valley, and settle into your seat, you will notice that the wings of the stage are often used for speakers. It's not like your view will be obstructed if you sit there, but you certainly will be off to the side.

Alpine Valley Concert Announcements for 2011

It's months from the first spring day, and we're still looking back at a great Alpine Valley concert season for 2010. When will we start to see who is booked for the venue in 2011? My guess is March.

Alpine Valley Season Recap for 2010

There were sell out shows at the Alpine Valley outdoor amphitheater this 2010 season. There were a few concerts where there was room to stretch out. Either way, the season was a success.
  • Jimmy Buffett sold out Alpine Valley once again, and the weather was great.

  • Jack Johnson had a respectable crowd, as he promoted his new album.

  • Dave Matthews sold out both nights, even though it was the July 4th weekend.

  • Phish had their ups and downs, but the crowds left East Troy in a happy mood.

As Alpine Valley slowly sees the leaves turn to red, orange, and yellow, we can expect concert announcements for the 2011 season sometime in early spring. For now, the memories of those great shows will carry us through the long winter.
