Buffett Show at Alpine Last Performance Before Break

You can't blame Jimmy Buffett for taking a break once in a while. The man has toured relentlessly over the years. Now, as he grows a bit older, he can take some time off between the various legs of the 2011 tour. He goes back on the road in three weeks, starting at the Molson Amphitheater in Toronto on July 16.

Alpine Valley Roadwork May Delay Arrivals

Alpine Road Work

For those of you heading to Alpine Valley this summer, be aware that the Rock Freeway is getting a face lift. Highway D is also being worked on, so give yourself some extra time if your route takes you in that direction.

The Jimmy Buffett concert goers will certainly be impacted by this construction. Those of you that are heading to the PJ20 shows, may see wide open lanes, as the construction should be finished by then. It's best to check the Wisdot link for up to the minute delays in that area.

Alpine Valley Show Dates for 2011 | A Pair of Concerts Does Not A Summer Make

Jimmy Buffett tickets

I must admit, I'm surprised that there are no other concert dates at Alpine Valley for 2011. Here we are ten days into June, and Live Nation has booked just two shows. Jimmy Buffett tickets are still available, if you want to sit near the back of the reserved sections. I didn't check Pearl Jam for this post, but I'll bet that there is availability on that weekend as well.

With DMB not doing a serious tour, there goes one show that Alpine loves to host. I don't see any "Monsters of Rock" or Phish tour coming this way either. Still, one has to think that there will be one more late concert announcement coming up. Stay tuned.
